Evolution of Wireless Networks

Perhaps the very first network that can be considered wireless is the radio telegraphy network that was developed after Marconi perfected sending radio signals. This was followed by radio and TV networks. Strictly speaking, however, radio and TV networks are not two-way mass communication networks.

Real two-way wireless communication networks today are cellular phone networks and WiFi or wireless Internet. These wireless networks facilitate mobile communication among people. As technology advances forward, wireless networks are slowly becoming fully integrated in the daily economic activities.
